Prologue.
The music was blasting through my ears, making even thinking impossible. With the amount of alcohol that was in my system walking properly wasn't possible, either.
Of course, I wasn't one of those teenagers, who drink massive amount of alcohol at parties and have a huge headache, which I probably will have, the next morning. I didn't even like going to parties, although Candice would always drag me with her.
Tonight I had a reason to celebrate and drink, a lot. We just graduated and guess what? A little party never killed nobody.
Oh well, drinking was not my brightest idea, considering my condition right now, but whatsoever I won't even remember it in the morning.
Looking at my phone I noticed it was getting pretty late, so it was time for me to leave the party. My aunt was waiting for me and I wouldn't want her getting mat at me.
"Guys it's getting really late" I tried to tell Candice and Bethany, but Candice was too busy sucking faces with Scott and Bethany wanted to stay more.
Bethany was never the irresponsible one, but I don't blame her. She was allowed to have some fun for once, too. And she seemed to have a good talk with the guy standing in front of her. God sometimes I felt like I was going to be forever alone. Yes I did have couple of boyfriends, but they weren't anywhere near to what I called a boyfriend. They mostly either used me or tried to get in my pants, which I didn't allowed so they just dumbed me.
I left them, saying quick 'bye' and headed out of Scott's house, where the party was held. He was Candice's boyfriend for quite long. I guess I liked him, although he always had that 'popular' attitude.
On my way out I stumbled over a guy and spilled some of my drink on him. His white T-shirt wasn't that white anymore.
"I'm so so sorry" I quickly apologised without looking who he was.
"It's fine, really?" he assured me with a familiar voice and when I looked up at him I realized the voice belonged to Oliver.
"Careful there" he said, catching my arm, when I was about to stumble again.
By the little frown on his face I guess he didn't know it was me, either. Oliever and I broke up couple of weeks ago and things were still a bit awkward between us. He was actually really nice guy, but maybe too nice. I felt him more like my brother than my boyfriend, so I made the decision to end or releationship, because it just wasn't working. However, we tried the 'friends' thing, but it didn't work, either. He still loved me. I could tell by the way he was looking at me with his soft blue eyes.
"Uh..hi" I said a bit embarrassed.
"Hi." he said, smiling a bit. "Are you leaving?"
"Yup. I think I drank way too much." I answered giggling a bit. It felt weird doing that, but it was probably because of the alcohol.
"Do you have a ride?"
"Uh, yeah, yeah my aunt is picking me up." I answered.
"Good. Okay, bye then." he waved me, starting to walk into the house.
"Bye."
Of course my aunt would pick me up if she answered her phone, which she didn't. She was probably asleep and Eric wasn't an option either. He was staying at Anns' a.k.a. his girlfriend and I didn't want to disturb them. Anne was a sweet girl and I really liked her.
There wasn't anyone at the party who didn't dring except Oliver, who never drinks, but I really wanted to avoid the awkward car ride with him. So I guess Im walking home. It was about forty minutes walk, so the bright side is that I will sober up a bit before I go home, hopefully my aunt won't kill me.
Passing Lastrada, our local cafe where we usually hang out, I had a feeling that someone was following me, but when I turned around there was no one except for a crow, standing on a nearby bench.
Still having the feeling that someone was behind me really got me creeped out, so I decided to take a shortcut and get back home sooner.
Look at me. Walking down a dark alley, while I have the feeling that someone is following me. Maybe I should have taken the ride from Oliver, but it was too late for that. I was getting more and more scared with every step I took.
Just when I was grabbing my phone to call my aunt again, someone grabbed me from behind and put a hand in front of my mouth. I tried to scream and elbow him, but my attempts were completely useless. He was way too strong for me.
In a split second the hand in front of my mouth was gone and the person who was behind me, too. I turned around to see what happened and I saw a hooded guy pinned against a wall by a man, dressed with a black leather jacket. I was only able to see his black hair. The hooded guy must be the one who attacked me, but who was the other one and why did he help me?
I saw the hooded guy get punched in the jaw, but before I could react my senses kicked in and I started running towards my home.
After around ten minutes running I slowed down to look around. There was no one behind me, but I still had feeling that someone was following me, so I kept running to the house.
When I opened the front door, Eric immediately showed up to see who it is.
"Hey sis, what are you doing here?" he asked.
"I.. I just got home from the party." I said, trying to catch my breath.
"Oh, why didn't you called to pick you up?"
"I.. um thought you were with Anne."
"Well I was supposed to, but then her mother called her to have dinner and you know her mother just got back, so it was important to her and yeah." he explained.
"Oh.. well nevermind, now I'm home, so it doesn't matter." I said smiling a bit.
"Okay." he said smiling back.
"Oh and where is Julie? She didn't pick up."
"I think she fell asleep. She was really tired when she got home"
"Oh, okay.I'm really tired too, so I'm going to my room" I said pointing to the staircase. The sooner I go to my bet, the better."Night".
"Night, sis" he said heading back to the living room.
I slowly climbed the stairs, leaning on the wall for support. My head was literaly spinning. The attack confused me even more. Who was the man who saved me. And why the hell did he save me? I have no idea, but I'm very thankful because I have no idea what would have happened if he didn't show up.
Once I was in my room I got rid of my clothes and dressed into baggy T-shirt, quickly slipping under the covers of my very soft and comfortable bed.
